Aerial view of Mount Rainier at dusk, WA, USA
Canon S400 | 1/1250 sec | F/7.1
Breathtaking! Beautiful shot.
Wow! Amazing. What’s the story behind getting this shot? How did you do it?
Wow this is very beautiful. Awesome.
Oh my goodness that’s just amazing, it takes my breath away..
How did you do it?
This is an amazing shot for so many reasons. Most aerial shots have some amount of haze (atmosphere or window) associated with them. This one is super clear. Very nice work.
Definitely a gorgeous shot! And very clear, good job.
Wow – thanks for all the great feedback! To answer some of your questions, this shot was taken from a commercial flight from Seattle to Denver — right through the thick plastic window! The shot was snapped close to sunset facing roughly North. The picture’s tonal distribution and contrast were adjusted through Photoshop CS’ Levels.
My airplane shots usually involve part of the wing. Nicely done. I like the curvature of the earth in the distance and the details are amazingly crisp considering this was through a plastic window.
Stunning. Amazing photo. It’s perfect!
Absolutely beautiful. You did a great job.
Wonderful capture. Stunning.
A breathtaking landscape. Beautiful colours and sight to breathe in.
pat h, anne is a pilot 😉 That’s why there’s no wing at her photos 🙂
Just kidding. This one’s really breathtaking!
Amazing you were able to get this through the plane window. Beautiful image…
Amazing view. It doesn’t look like there’s glass between you and the mountain.
wow, from a regular flight… this is the big picture.
How did you jump that high?
What a beautiful mountain. I hope I can climb it one day …
